I have to admit, the thought of a Kerry/Hillary ticket winning the election this fall leaves me cold. BURRRRRR!
After observing her as co-President with Bill, her "It takes a village" campaign and her attempt to socialize our healthcare system, I can't help but see socialism all over her.
Should she get any grasp on the powers of the executive branch of government, she will utilize every tool available to try and institutionalize socialism in the United States.
Don't get me wrong, there are problems with our healthcare system and with the dysfunctional way many of our families operate. But turning it all over to the government is not the answer. Need an example, Soviet Union, Cuba, China, Romania, East Germany, North Korea and on and on.
If socialism was a viable form of government, these would be functioning, prosperous nations today. As it is, they never prospered, their citizens have always struggled under elite governments where only the powerful have unlimited access to even the very basics of life. Even today in Cuba, one of only a handful of officially communist/socialist regimes remaining, even in the absence of milk for infants, the government severely limits import of free dried milk by charitable organizations.
They don't want to admit to their citizens that their government has failed them. Uhhh, Castro, they already know.
So now with the collapse of the Soviet Empire a decade ago, Hillary still doesn't understand what even the least educated from those former regimes knows and has experienced, socialism doesn't work. At least not for the citizens. The elitists will figure a way to get theirs.
