While I've been on vacation for the past week+, I haven't been taking it easy, well at least the past 3-4 days. We've been out in the garden getting it spruced up. It needed it, haven't done anything since putting the garden pond in just after movin' in a year and a half ago.
I picked a great time to do it too. We just finished with the best part of the year here in Florida, January through April. The temps are moderate during the day, cool at night, it's really great! That's what folks move here from up north for.
Then there's summer. Today, June 1st, started out Hurricane season and while it's still technically spring, summer started. Driving to pick up a few things for the garden I checked the outside temp gauge on the Jeep and saw 101 degrees F. Wow! Thinking it might be registering hot I checked out several temp displays around town as I drove, and they were within a degree of what I had.
Well, the song may go, "It's summer time, and the living is easy..." but down here it's a whole lot easier inside where there's air conditioning.
Whew!
