Bill Cosby, not known for his conservative views, talks straight at an NAACP event and the amazing thing is the response of those listening. While the audience apparently acknowledged the correctness of his observations of the problems in the black community, leadership immediately began downplaying and take issue with Cosby's statements.
Why is it black leadership refuses to recognize the endemic problems among many in their costituency. Perhaps they don't want to. To acknowledge the problem exists within "me" requires that "I" take responsibility for it. Why be responsible when I can be a victim. For the liberal politician (that includes those who are not elected but selected), victimhood means power.
If these leaders can convince their constituency they are powerless victims and they cannot help themselves, the power, and the money, is vested in the leaders.
